100% polyimide (PI) spunlace felt is a high-performance nonwoven material manufactured from high-performance polyimide staple fibers through processes such as opening, carding, high-pressure hydro-entanglement, dewatering, and heat setting.
Polyimide belongs to a class of high-performance polymer materials; due to the presence of imide rings in its molecular structure, it exhibits excellent heat resistance and stability, making it a key representative of high-temperature resistant polymers.
The hydro-entanglement process utilizes high-pressure, fine water jets to impact the fiber web, causing the fibers to intertwine and form a fabric-like structure. consequently, the process eliminates the need for large amounts of chemical binders, resulting in a material with superior softness and uniformity.
