Description

What is meta aramid yarn?

100% meta-aramid yarn is made from meta-aramid staple fiber through ring spinning. Meta-aramid is a type of aromatic polyamide fiber (aramid fibers), the full name is polyisophthalic Meta -phenylenediamine fiber, the English name meta-aramid is abbreviated as PMIA, we also call it aramid 1313, Nomex , Conex , Tametar. The main raw materials of meta-aramid are isophthaloyl chloride (IPC) and meta-phen ylenediamine (MPD), 100% meta-aramid the technological process of aramid yarn is divided into: Blow room - Carding - Pre-drawing - Strip and winding - Combing - First draw - Second draw - Roving - Spun yarn - Winding.

100% meta-aramid yarn has suitable textile processing properties, the fabric woven from 100% meta-aramid yarn has excellent inherent fire resistance, good thermal stability, high strength, light and soft fabric, good strength, good heat insulation effect, corrosion resistance, chemical environment resistance, and radiation resistance. Performance characteristics

  1. 100% meta-aramid spun yarn , bright color, variety, yarn size is even, very good yarn strength.
  2. 100% meta-aramid spun yarn  is non-flammable, non-melting, non-heat-shrinkable, non-thermally cracked, and has no droplet.
  3. Heat insulation and temperature resistance: excellent heat resistance and heat resistance performance, can be used for a long time at a relatively high temperature (≤260°C), is difficult to burn under an open flame, and will extinguish without flame.
  4. Corrosion resistance: good chemical properties, resistant to various acid and alkali solvents, and can be used in harsh corrosive media.
  5. Flame retardant and heat insulation: excellent heat insulation performance, low thermal conductivity, good heat insulation effect.  It has high flame retardancy, oxygen index ≥ 28%.
  6. Excellent thermal stability: no softening and shrinkage, no melting drops, it is a quasi-non-combustible product. Good heat insulation effect, good corrosion resistance, chemical environment resistance, and radiation resistance.

100% meta-aramid yarn can be knitted into flame-retardant and high-temperature resistant gloves. Fabrics made by 100% meta-aramid yarn  can be used for special flame-retardant clothing, thermal protective clothing, spark protection welding blankets, firefighting clothing, steelmaking clothing, high-temperature work clothing fabrics, bags and other outdoor products, and can also be used for industrial fabrics, Flame-retardant aviation products, high-speed train products, tunnel fire prevention, automobile hood insulation, fuel tank insulation, high-speed train products, camping tents and other heat-insulation and flame-retardant industries.
