What is 100% meta-aramid brushed fabric?

100% meta-aramid knitted fleece is knitted from yarns spun by ring spinning using meta-aramid staple fiber as the main raw material. Meta-aramid is an aromatic polyamide fiber (aramid fibers). The full name is polyisophthalamide meta-phenylenediamine fiber, the English name is meta-aramid for short PMIA, we also call aramid 1313, Conex, Nomex, Tametar. The main raw materials of meta-aramid are isophthaloyl chloride (IPC) and meta-phenylenediamine (MPD). It has good flame retardancy, limiting oxygen index is above 29, 100% meta-aramid knitted brushed fabric has inherent fire resistance, good thermal stability, good strength, and light fabric. Soft, skin-friendly, good thermal insulation effect, corrosion resistance, chemical environment resistance, good radiation resistance, long service life, etc. It is mainly used for fire rescue suits, flight suits, police uniforms, 100% meta-aramid knitted brushed fabric produced by Shanghai Shenghe Textile Technology Co., Ltd is a flame-retardant and high-temperature-resistant insulation fabric. Performance characteristics

1. Excellent high-temperature resistance the most prominent feature of meta aramid fiber is its good high-temperature resistance, which can be used for a long time at 220 ℃ without aging. Its electrical and mechanical properties can be maintained for 10 years, and its dimensional stability is excellent. The thermal shrinkage rate is only 1% at around 250 ℃, and it will not shrink, embrittle, soften or melt when exposed to high temperatures of 300 ℃ for a short time. It only begins to decompose at temperatures exceeding 370 ℃, and carbonization begins around 400 ℃.
 
2. Permanent flame retardancy the percentage of oxygen volume required for a material to burn in air is called the limiting oxygen index. The higher the limiting oxygen index, the better its flame retardancy. Usually, the oxygen content in the air is 21%, while the limit oxygen index of aramid 1313 is greater than 28%, making it a flame retardant fiber. Therefore, it will not burn in the air or support combustion, and has self extinguishing properties. This inherent characteristic from its molecular structure makes aramid 1313 permanent flame retardant, so it is known as "fireproof fiber".
 
3. Excellent electrical insulation meta aramid has a very low dielectric constant and its inherent dielectric strength enables it to maintain excellent electrical insulation under high, low, and high humidity conditions. The insulation paper prepared with it can withstand a breakdown voltage of 100000 volts/mm2, making it the globally recognized best insulation material.

4. Outstanding chemical stability the chemical structure of aramid 1313 is extremely stable, which can resist the corrosion of most high concentration inorganic acids and other chemicals, hydrolysis and steam corrosion.

5. Excellent mechanical characteristics meta aramid is a flexible polymer material with low stiffness and high elongation characteristics, which gives it the same spinnability as ordinary fibers. It can be processed into various fabrics or non-woven fabrics using conventional spinning machines, and is wear-resistant and tear resistant, with a wide range of applications.

6. Ultra strong radiation resistance Meta-aramid fiber has excellent resistance to α, β, χ rays and ultraviolet rays. After using 50Kv×radiation for 100 hours, the fiber strength still maintains 73% of its original strength, while the polyester has turned into powder.

7. Meta aramid Knitted fleece Fabric Meta aramid brushed fabric is a flexible polymer with a higher breaking strength than ordinary polyester, cotton, nylon, etc. It has a higher elongation, a soft feel, and good spinnability.

We also can produce different grams of meta aramid or blended knitted fleece fabrics in both dope dye and fabric dye according to customer needs.

Meta-aramid knitted brushed fabric has high strength, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, excellent flame retardant and fireproof properties, and is soft and comfortable. This fabric is widely used in fire protection, military industry, metallurgy, aerospace, aviation and other fields, and is used for personnel underwear, shoes and socks, headphones, clothing linings, etc.
