Pre-oxidized Pan Felt / Panox Felt
Pre-oxidized Pan fiber is obtained by high-temperature thermal stabilization treatment of polypropylene nitrile. It has high flame retardancy, the limiting oxygen index is greater than 40%, and has excellent thermal stability. The fiber does not melt, soften, shrink, or drip during combustion. It is a quasi-non-combustible product, with suitable textile processing performance. The fabric is light, soft, and has good water absorption. Depending on raw material choice, we also have pre-oxidized Pan felt with good hydrophobicity. It has good heat insulation effect, corrosion resistance, chemical environment resistance, and radiation resistance, making Panox felt one of the most reliable materials for industrial and protective applications.
The pre-oxidized Pan fiber insulation felt developed and produced by Shanghai Shenghe is a new type of insulation felt made by using pre-oxidized Pan fiber as raw material and processed by needlepunch. It has the characteristics of good flexibility, low thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and non-flammability, and is widely used in military defense, aerospace, automotive interiors, shipping, petrochemical, steel refining, photovoltaics, and energy storage. As a flame retardant felt, it is trusted across industries for its long-term thermal stability.

Preox Felt Performance Characteristics
We use pre-oxidized fiber felt to make 100% pure preox felt and also use pre-oxidized Pan fiber mixed with para-aramid and meta-aramid to produce nonwoven flame retardant felt, depending on application requirements. We also supply oxidized Pan felt and OPAN felt to meet different customer needs.
- Lightweight & Soft: Pure pre-oxidized fiber felt and blended felt have excellent insulation performance.
- Flame Retardant: Non-flammable, non-melting, non-heat-shrinkable, non-thermally cracked, and no droplet formation.

Preox Felt Applications
Pre-oxidized felt and blended oxidized Pan felt can be made into the lining of flame-retardant and high-temperature resistant gloves. Pan felt can also be used for the lining of special flame-retardant clothing, thermal protective clothing, firefighting clothing, steelmaking clothing, high-temperature work clothing, and spark protection welding blankets.
