PTFE filament description
Ptfe fibers are generally produced using two different methods. The first method is matrix spinning, where the fibers produced are round and brown. The second method, called paste extrusion, produces a flat and white finished product. In general, fibers produced using paste extrusion have higher tenacity.
Good heat resistance, chemical stability, high tensile strength, low shrinkage, excellent abrasion resistance characteristics, Ptfe filaments are fiber.based, can be processed into various types of high- performance mesh, fabric, sewing thread, dental floss, membrane structures and other products. On to be used thanks to its superior performance.
Ptfe filaments can be used to make base fabrics for filter materials, can be processed into sewing threads for sewing filter bags, and twisted into toothpick threads. Another important application is to make ion membrane substrates for chlor-alkali engineering through weaving. The oxygen limit index of PTFE long fiber products reaches 0.98, and the strength is high. When the linear density is 200, 400, 450 and 500 denier, the corresponding strength is 8.5, 16, 18 and 20N respectively. The tensile strength is as high as 4gf/den, comparable to the advanced level of foreign companies. The chemical and physical properties of PTFE long fiber products are particularly stable.
PTFE filament characteristics
- High temperature resistance: the working temperature can reach 250℃
- Low temperature resistance: when the temperature drops to -195°C, it can still maintain 5% elongation
- Corrosion resistance: resistant to most chemicals, good chemical inertness
- Weather resistance: good aging resistance
- High lubrication: the coefficient of friction is very low
- Acid and alkali resistance: insoluble in strong acid and alkali and organic solvents
- Oxidation resistance: corrosion resistance to strong oxidants
- Non-toxic: physiologically inert
