Description

What is pre-oxidize PAN aerogel felt (nano-porous thermal insulation felt)?

Aerogel felt is a kind of soft, hydrophobic, high-temperature resistant, fireproof, and non-powder insulating felt, which is made by combining nano-porous aerogel and needle-punched Pre-oxidized PAN felt using patented technology, Due to a special process, aerogel is an incombustible material featuring low heatconductivity, low density, excellent hydrophobicity, fire rating A1, no powder generated during transportation and use, environmental friendliness, excellent sound insulation and noise reduction properties, pressure resistance and vibration attenuation property.

Aerogel is a general term for a class of nanoporous materials. Its skeleton is a three-dimensional network structure composed of nanoparticles.
The skeleton structure is filled with a gas dispersion medium. Its special nanoporous structure gives it unique thermal, optical, and electrical properties

The outstanding feature of silica aerogel is that it is also called "frozen smoke" or "blue smoke" and is the lightest solid in the world.
Extremely low density: as low as 3KG/m³.
Extremely high porosity: up to 90% or more.
The thermal conductivity is extremely low: as low as 0.013W/m·K.

Performance characteristics

  1. Thermal insulation, room temperature thermal conductivity 0.02W/(M.K) thermal insulation performance is 3~5 times that of traditional insulation materials.
  2. Fireproof and hydrophobic, reaching the national A1 level non-combustible standard for building materials, with a hydrophobic rate of ≥98%.
  3. Lightweight and high strength. Generally, more than 80% of aerogel is air, with a porosity rate as high as 80-99.8%. The density of the aerogel body can be as low as 3KG/cubic meter, and the density of the finished OX aerogel felt body is about 200KG/cubic meter, and has good tensile and compressive strength.
  4. Sound insulation and earthquake resistance. The three-dimensional porous network structure of aerogel can play the role of sound absorption, noise reduction, buffering, and earthquake resistance.
  5. Long-lasting weather resistance, the preox Pan aerogel insulation material is overall hydrophobic and is not easy to absorb water and disintegrate, and has a service life of more than 10 years. Compared with traditional insulation materials, the service life is 3 to 5 times longer.
  6. The construction is convenient and can be processed into shapes suitable for complex parts using ordinary cutting tools.
  7. Safety and anti-corrosion, aerogel can effectively prevent the penetration of liquid water and effectively prevent corrosion under the insulation layer.
  8. Healthy and environmentally friendly, the product has passed ROHS, REACH, and ELV testing and does not contain substances harmful to the human body.

Pre-oxidize pan aerogel felt application

It is used in new energy vehicles to build a "firewall" for new energy vehicles, which greatly improves the safety performance of the vehicle. Aerogel is mainly used in the battery compartment, passenger compartment, and power compartment. Preox PAN (Zoltek) Aerogel felt are laid on the car body. The Pre-oxidized PAN(Zoltek)Aerogel felt play the roles of heat preservation, heat insulation, fire prevention, sound insulation and noise reduction. when a burning accident occurs in automobile parts, OX aerogel felt can prevent the spread of fire and buy escape time for passengers. It can also be applied to different parts of the automobile body, such as seat flame retardant linings, body flame retardant linings, etc., for Traditional flame-retardant and thermal insulation materials are replaced to further reduce fire hazards.

Transportation: engine heat insulation, vehicle internal structure insulation, cold and heat insulation of high and low temperature transportation pipelines.
Civilian fields: fire-fighting suits, space suits, firefighting gloves, cold-proof shoes, sleeping bag tents, special cold-proof clothing, paint-coated fabric insulation products.
High temperature pipeline equipment insulation and energy saving.
Low-temperature pipeline equipment keeps cold and saves energy.
Chemical storage tank thermal insulation and cold insulation Fire protection, thermal insulation and energy saving of building interior and exterior walls.
Fire protection and thermal insulation for ships and yachts.
Fire protection and insulation for aircraft and aviation containers
