What is high silica oxygen aerogel felt (nano-porous thermal insulation felt)?

High silica fiber is a type of glass fiber with a silica content of more than 96%. It is an amorphous glass fiber and is obtained from borosilicate glass fiber through acid leaching treatment. The high silica fiber insulation felt produced by Shanghai Shenghe uses high silica fiber chopped strands as raw materials and is processed by needle punched technology.It is made into a felt shape (the needle punching process is the same as that of glass fiber needle punched felt).

The softening point of the high silica fiber insulation felt is close to 1700°C. It can be used for a long time at 950°C. It can work for 10 minutes at 1450°C and 15 seconds at 1600°C still in perfect condition. Due to its stable chemical properties, high temperature resistance and burning resistance. It has excellent properties such as corrosion, low thermal shrinkage, low thermal conductivity, good electrical insulation properties, non-asbestos products, and no pollution. High silica oxygen aerogel felt performance characteristics

Compared with glass fiber insulation felt, high silica fiber insulation felt has the following main advantages in addition to having all the characteristics of glass fiber insulation felt.
  1. High temperature resistance: High silica fiber insulation felt has a maximum temperature resistance of 1600°C and a long-term temperature resistance of 950°C.
  2. Corrosion resistance: It maintains good performance and stability in organic and inorganic acids (except hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and hydrochloric acid), high temperatures, and weak alkalis. Resistant to moisture, solar radiation and shock, it can be used in a variety of sealing materials. It does not oxidize or discolor when burned in gasoline. It has high strength and will not cause secondary pollution.
  3. Stable structure and performance: High silica fiber insulation felt is less irritating to the skin and can replace ceramic fiber and asbestos fiber (crystal phase transformation occurs at high temperatures). The surface of high-silica felt is softer and smoother than fiberglass felt.
  4. Low thermal conductivity, excellent thermal insulation performance, and effectively reduce heat loss.
