What is carbon fiber mesh?

Also known as mesh carbon or mesh carbon fiber, carbon fiber mesh is a geotechnical reinforcement material used for pavements, concrete, and soft foundations.

Overview

Carbon fiber mesh — also known as mesh carbon, mesh carbon fiber, carbon fiber geogrid, or carbon net fabric — is a new type of pavement and roadbed reinforced geotechnical base material. It is made of carbon fiber filaments coated with inorganic sizing agents. These materials have the advantages of high tensile strength in both warp and weft directions, low elongation, wide temperature range, aging resistance, and good alkali resistance.

Carbon fiber mesh is widely used in the reinforcement of asphalt pavements, concrete pavements, and roadbeds. Compared with traditional reinforcement materials, it helps extend pavement service life and prevents road flexing and cracking.
